The artwork featured on Pokémon trading cards has always captured the imagination, but the latest collection from Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has truly outdone itself. The upcoming “Space-Time Smackdown” set, slated for release on the app on January 30, showcases stunning full-art cards that are sure to captivate fans, particularly those who hold a fondness for the Sinnoh region’s Pokémon, which first appeared in the Nintendo DS games Diamond and Pearl.
As a self-confessed Sinnoh enthusiast, I can’t help but be thrilled to see familiar faces from this beloved region. Pokémon like Torterra, the grass and ground-type tortoise carrying an entire ecosystem on its back, and Palkia, the majestic dragon deity of space, take center stage in this collection. These characters bring back fond memories and seeing them celebrated in such vibrant artwork is a delight.
Although I haven’t been keeping up with the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket as much lately, the allure of these incredible full-art cards is drawing me back in. It’s a testament to how powerful and engaging Pokémon artwork can be, reigniting my passion for the game. – Kenneth Shepard
