Pizza Hut has taken an exciting leap into the gaming world by introducing something quite intriguing: the PIZZAWRMR. Imagine being able to keep your favorite munchies warm right on top of your PlayStation 5 while diving into your gaming marathon. This ingenious gadget, however, isn’t available for purchase or through giveaways. Instead, Pizza Hut Canada generously allows fans to dive into the adventure of creating their very own by offering 3D printing files for free download, modification, and printing.
Taking cues from the restaurant’s iconic red roof, the PIZZAWRMR opens up much like a laptop to make grabbing a slice as easy as ever. You can stash multiple slices in this box, which cleverly channels the hot air from the console to keep your snacks toasty. Pizza Hut’s marketing team is calling this combination of technology and culinary convenience a triumph of science and engineering for everyone’s benefit.
The downloadable files from Pizza Hut Canada come with STL files and a comprehensive PDF guide. Within this package, you’ll find instructions and files needed to print components like the body, stand, lid, and manifold. It’s specifically tailored for consoles with rear ventilation of 11.7 x 1.31 inches, so make sure your 3D printer has a bed at least 15 x 15 inches. Some of the models that fit the bill include the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max, Prusa XL, or perhaps an Elegoo Orange Storm Giga.
If you’re serious about protecting both your console and your pizza, Pizza Hut recommends placing a 34 x 23 x 2.5 cm foil tray inside the PIZZAWRMR. Curiously, they use metric measurements for this, possibly a nod to their Canadian roots. The final step, according to the Pizza Hut guide, is simple: start your gaming session to heat up the PIZZAWRMR, then slide your pizza slices in. Medium pizza slices seem to be the perfect fit for this setup.
This isn’t the first time fast food chains have dipped their toes into the world of gaming. Remember KFC’s bold move in 2020? They rolled out the KFConsole, which had a fried chicken warming drawer, kickstarting from a fun concept to a fully functional gaming console powered by Intel NUC.
Pizza Hut has also teased a livestream set for the 29th, promising us a chance to see the PIZZAWRMR in action. It promises to be an entertaining revelation to see how this endeavor uniquely brings together the love of gaming and pizza.
