Alright, folks, let’s dive into the adventure that is “Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii.” If you’ve been following the game, you know there’s a quirky task involving Goro Majima and some golden balls. Nope, not what you might be thinking—these are quite literally made of gold, and they’re scattered across various ports that Goromaru visits. Just like in “Like A Dragon: Gaiden,” you’re tasked with collecting all seven of them. There was a persistent bug making this challenge impossible for some, but fear not, it’s been patched up. So, you can save those rotten tomatoes and stop threatening to unleash Kiryu on me.
In today’s update, patch 1.12, released by RGG on March 7th, the bug hindering your golden ball quest has been squashed. Their patch note is pretty straightforward: “Fixed an issue where the golden ball could not be obtained.” But hey, RGG, care to spill the beans on which ball was being troublesome? Was it swiped by one of those treasure-seeking pirates in the game? Guess we’ll never know. The important thing is those illustrious balls are back, and, as Thin Lizzy might have put it, the wild-eyed gold spheres are making their grand return.
Now, onto other updates in this patch—here’s what you can expect across all platforms:
– They’ve addressed a bug that prevented players from manually saving their progress.
– Fixed a peculiar issue where loading a saved game on a ship could cause you to plunge into the sea—you’d be stuck without a way back. (Sounds amusing but probably frustrating!)
– Resolved problems with arcade game rankings not saving correctly.
– Cleared up various typos and improved the game’s localization.
– Plus, a number of other tweaks for better stability and overall quality.
For those playing on PC, there are a couple of specific changes as well. The game has been updated to Intel XeSS 2.0.1, and a rare crash issue during resource loading has been fixed. And if you’re dealing with random driver crashes on certain NVIDIA GPUs, RGG suggests capping your FPS at 60 in the settings.
If you haven’t yet jumped on the Pirate Yakuza bandwagon, be sure to check out my review. There’s a bit of tongue-in-cheek pondering over whether missing out on a certain scene means I’ve lost my comedic touch. Happy gaming!
