PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have something to look forward to this year! At the moment, subscribers can anticipate four exciting games joining the Game Catalog when they debut, including Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which is now set to launch in the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak unfolds within The Oldest House, the same intriguing locale that served as the backdrop for the highly acclaimed Control. This time around, Remedy Entertainment is shifting gears from their usual story-driven style to focus purely on gameplay. Their goal? To deliver a live-service experience without falling into the usual “fear of missing out” traps that many games stumble into. All content will be accessible at no extra cost, allowing players the freedom to dive in at their own pace.
The game’s latest trailer gives us a glimpse into the Paper Chase Job, one of the missions players can tackle in FBC: Firebreak. Here, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with clearing out an area of The Oldest House overrun by pesky rogue sticky notes. Additionally, the trailer teases the various loadouts players can use to fend off the looming Hiss threat.
Upon release, FBC: Firebreak will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Epic Games Store and Steam.
Beyond this, fans can also look forward to three other titles joining the Game Catalog at launch: Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. Right now, the first part of Lost Records is available for current PS Plus Extra and Premium users, with the second part expected to drop next month.
On top of this gaming bonanza, PS Plus members gain early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. It’s a perfect chance to snag deals on big titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Don’t miss out!
