ASRock is gearing up to release their latest additions to the GPU world with the Radeon RX 9070 series, as images of the Steel Legend and Taichi custom models have made their way online.
ASRock’s Custom RX 9070 Series GPU Models Gets Pictured Online Prior To Official Launch; Revealing Elegant SKUs
The anticipation is building as ASRock prepares to unveil a new range of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, focusing on the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Even though we haven’t yet seen official releases from other partners, ASRock is leading the charge, showcasing three exciting models: the Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi series stands out as the flagship, equipped with a sleek triple-fan design and an impressive heatsink that requires a three-slot card setup.
What’s fascinating about the Taichi model is its inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector, a feature not all models will have since AMD has left it to their partners to decide, based on specific power needs. This connector can handle up to 600W of power, making the Taichi quite a powerhouse in terms of specs and potential for overclocking.
Turning to the Steel Legend variant, it hits the sweet spot as a mid-range option from ASRock, available in striking white and silver hues. This version features a 2.5-slot triple fan design. Unlike the Taichi, the Steel Legend does not utilize the 12V-2×6 connector but instead comes with the more common 2x 8-pin standard, typical for AMD’s AIB models, excluding the higher-end ones like Taichi.
So, when can eager gamers expect these new GPUs to hit the shelves? The buzz suggests that they could arrive as early as next week, aligning with rumors of AMD starting pre-orders for their RX 9070 series.
