To find Ceratonoths, head over to the Windward Plains. They are quite common in this area. Utilize your in-game map and apply the icon filter to spot them quickly—whether male or female, it doesn’t affect your odds. Set your waypoint, and off you go on your Seikret to hunt them down efficiently.
Bear in mind, though, that unfortunately, there aren’t any specific hunts that guarantee herbivore carapaces as rewards, and you won’t find them dropping from any large monsters either. So, your best bet is to focus on the plentiful Ceratonoths in their native habitat.
