Official Confirmation: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 Announced

Titus isn’t hanging up his armor just yet. The iconic Ultramarine is set to return in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, a project that’s currently under development. This exciting news comes from Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive, and the IP holder, Games Workshop. They’ve officially confirmed that a follow-up to the 2024 smash hit, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, is on the way.

“We’ve achieved something special with Space Marine 2,” Saber Interactive’s CEO, Matthew Karch, shared. “It embodies everything Saber has learned throughout our 25 years in the gaming industry. Now, we’re channeling all that experience into Space Marine 3, a title that carries big expectations from our ever-growing community,” Karch enthuses.

Karch went on to promise that while Space Marine 2 will continue receiving updates and support, their team is focused on applying their knowledge to craft something even grander with the third game. “We see this as a chance to really honor the Warhammer 40,000 universe,” he added.

Focus Entertainment’s Deputy CEO, John Bert, mentioned that Space Marine 3 is set to thrill with new campaign content and multiplayer options, not to mention the new large-scale battles that promise to be nothing short of spectacular.

If you’ve seen the teaser, you probably noticed the art showcasing Ultramarine Titus, hinting at his prominent role once again in the universe’s gritty narrative.

While we’re buzzing with anticipation for Space Marine 3, it might take a while before we see it materialize. Saber Interactive is still deeply invested in supporting Space Marine 2, which has already amassed over 6 million players as of January this year. They’re not letting up, with plans to introduce a Horde mode and other exciting updates throughout the year.

Earlier hints from Tim Willits, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer, alluded to the potential development of this sequel and even teased possible DLCs which could serve as a narrative bridge between Space Marine 2 and the upcoming installment.
