Introducing Boss Rush 2: Our Newest Community Event

Last year, we kicked off our Boss Rush Community Event, and it was a hit! This time around, our talented Community and Events Team has added some exciting twists to keep your achievement-hunting thrilling in The Boss Rush 2 Community Event.

### What is Boss Rush?

Starting March 3rd, we’ll introduce a new Boss each day for the first ten days of the event. Your mission is to defeat these bosses by earning achievements—it’s as simple and challenging as that! Each boss comes with a health bar, which you chip away at by scoring points based on the TrueAchievement Difference (TrueAchievement score minus Gamerscore) from your unlocked achievements. Once you’ve beaten a boss, it’s on to the next, provided it’s been unveiled.

### How long does the event last?

Mark your calendars from Monday, March 3rd, to Friday, May 2nd. You’ll have a total of 60 days to conquer all 10 bosses, plus our special community boss. You can tweak your challenge level by using the modifiers as you go.

### What are modifiers and how do they work?

Each boss has its own strengths and weaknesses. If you unlock achievements in a category a boss is weak against—say, certain genres or publishers—you’ll land a critical hit, dealing more damage. On the flip side, if the achievements fall under a boss’s strength, where the unlock ratio is high, your hits will be partially blocked. Interestingly, if an achievement triggers both a boss’s strength and weakness, the weakness impacts first, unless stated otherwise.

### What’s new this time around?

For those who joined us in the first Boss Rush, you’ll notice we’ve switched from using the TrueAchievement score to the TrueAchievement Difference (TAD) for attacks. This tweak aims to ensure tougher achievements take a heftier slice out of the boss’s health. Plus, we’ve introduced something fresh—a community boss!

### Community Boss

The community boss operates just like the other bosses, where your achievement unlocks inflict damage, influenced by TAD scores plus any applicable strengths and weaknesses. What makes this boss unique is that it’s shared across all registered players. Every achievement made by any participant will chip away at this boss, so rally together and defeat it before time runs out!
